About
Nature is often described as ‘relaxing’, but I find this reductive. My experience is far more intense and conversational. Working within landscapes allows me to brush against what I understand as their internal life, and how this is reflected in my own internal state. It generates emotional responses that I hope to capture in my paintings, so it can open reflection on both the self and the natural world for the viewer.
Through painting and drawing, I explore the dialogue between internal and external worlds.
